After requesting quotes from various artificial grass installers across Surrey, we made the decision to award the work to New Lawn. We had a very large area, over 200m2 for a primary school. Being an educational establishment, we had to make sure the relevant safety certifications, CRB checks and insurance and practises were in place.
This was no trouble for the team and they supplied us with the necessary information very quickly. Over the course of the week in which the grass was being installed, the team conducted themselves well and made sure that the area was left cordoned off and tidy overnight. As a school with a tight budget, this has been a somewhat risky project for us and I am glad we went with an established company.

The Installation Process
1. The installation process begins with a free site visit from one of our experienced surveyors, who can show you samples of our grasses during a contactless visit if needed.
2. After you choose your grass, we typically excavate the turf and soil, though a dig-out might not be necessary in some cases.
3. We then position a stabilizing membrane over the area to prevent sinking and weed growth, followed by installing an edging system for secure placement.
4. The site is filled with Type 1 MOT for excellent drainage and a strong base, then compacted and covered with a sand or grano layer for a flat surface.
5. A weed control fabric is laid over this to protect the groundwork, and finally, your chosen grass is rolled out, cut to shape, secured, and brushed to perfection.
